Film treatment
The dialogue that will be used by the characters will show their age as it will contain a bunch of slang as they are still in high school and young. The short film will only pay attention to the important parts of the main character life and not follow their evry step as to get the narrative moving along so it will involve tracking to an extent as it would only follow the main character in certain parts of the short film
Film purpose
The purpose for the film is to show the lives of people in high school and how they might feel and what they get up to in their day-to-day life as a high school student and how it can affect them for the most part the short film will go with pre-existing themes and conceptions of what it’s like to be a high school student but it will go against some of the representations as it will show has teenagers can be mature and resilient which are words that aren’t associated with the youth as they are seen as loud and rowdy.
Target audience
The target audience for my short film will be between the ages of 13-26 years old as the short film is based on high school which is based on teens and some people want to look back on high school and some are curious about it, and it contains slang that the younger audience would use and understand and as it is based in a high school the location will be in America so it would appeal to an American audience
Legal and ethical considerations
The short film will not have copyrighted material such as music which is preventable by checking if the music is copyrighted which can be done through apps and websites and copyrighted material will be checked for scripts and there will be research done as to not misrepresent any group of people and no offensive language will be used towards any group of people and there will be no blasphemy as there will not be the mention of god in the short film.
